Family Outdoor Photoshoot at Singapore Botanic Gardens – Gallop Extension
There’s something incredibly special about photographing the same family at different chapters of their lives. This family outdoor shoot at Singapore Botanic Gardens, Gallop Extension was particularly meaningful to me, because it was their second photoshoot with me.
The first time we met, it was a quieter, more tender season. They had their little daughter by their side, and mummy was carrying another precious life in her tummy. That session was filled with anticipation—gentle smiles, small hands holding tightly, and that beautiful glow that comes with expecting a new family member.
Fast forward to today, and here we are again—this time as a family of three.
Seeing their journey unfold through my lens is honestly one of the most rewarding parts of being a family photographer. Their daughter, once the baby, is now full of energy and curiosity. The newest member completes the picture, bringing new laughter, new dynamics, and new stories into their family.
We chose Gallop Extension at Singapore Botanic Gardens for this family outdoor shoot because it offers a perfect balance of nature and serenity. Compared to the more crowded areas of the Botanic Gardens, Gallop Extension feels open, peaceful, and intimate. The wide green lawns, heritage trees, and soft natural light create a beautiful backdrop for candid family moments—children running freely, parents sharing quiet smiles, and genuine interactions that can’t be staged.
I always encourage families to treat these sessions less like a “photoshoot” and more like a relaxed walk together.
